Concept proposal for a rear subdivision located within the eastern district of Timaru with views to the southeast overlooking the bay.
This design proposal incorporates two gable roofs; one containing the living areas positioned to the west to capture the southeastern view over the bay as well as the north to northwest outdoor living area. The second is positioned over the bedrooms providing the master with access to the main outdoor living space. These roofs are connected via a low pitch roof to enhance these gable forms.
Plaster and metal cladding systems have been used to provide a modern aesthetic as well as durable for this coastal environment. A stone wall feature wraps the kitchen and entry to enhance this look, providing some textural elements and opportunities for dramatic external lighting.
